New Shirley Rooms and Rates
We recently completed a new building on the property; we call it the "New Shirley". While the original building is quaint, the New Shirley is contemporary. The New Shirley offers two similar-sized units, a handicapped-accessible unit on the ground floor and a second-floor unit one flight up. Each unit features a generously-sized bedroom with sitting area, work desk, kitchenette and private bathroom. The kitchenette offers a sink, under-counter refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle, and coffee maker.
The ground-level unit has a polished concrete floor; the second-floor unit is carpeted. Both units have hydronic, in-floor heating, ceiling fans, and are naturally ventilated. The bathrooms have walk-in showers. Linens and basic household items are provided. There's a washer and dryer on the premises for guest use. Guests can choose to do their own housekeeping, or we'll be happy to provide it as requested.
Each unit comes with free cable TV and wifi. Parking is available on-street at no cost. Because of our excellent transit connections (bus and light rail) and neighborhood ZipCar and Car-to-Go services, you may find a car unnecessary.
We have bicycles available for guest use. An adjacent courtyard is available for sitting out, and the ground-floor unit has an adjoining private patio.
